Works on paper include pen and ink drawings, usually done in series, and paintings in gouache.

LOCKDOWN
The series began with a photograph of an urban back alley. Overall, a pattern of core and cast shadow caught my eye. This pattern became the basic template for sixteen drawings, each exploring the the variety of possibilities within the larger, locked-down shape.

UCCELLO
Uccello means bird in Italian. It's also the surname of Paolo Uccello (1397-1475), the early Italian Renaissance artist and mathematician who was fascinated, to the point of obsession, with the laws of perspective.
